The Spanish Ministry of Housing, Mrs. Carmen Chacón announced yesterday that further measures intended to lower the Spanish rental prices were going to be implemented. This time it’s the landlords that are going to be the major beneficiaries from the drastic measures the Spanish Government are hoping to implement before the next elections.

Another measure announced is that to convince property owners of renting their properties instead of keeping the empty, a monetary subside of up to 6000€ would be given to the owners when starting to rent out. Speeding up, normally very slow legal procedures to battle out tenants from the property when needed is another of the measures announced by Mrs. Chacón.
